What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

Well how is everyone going, I have been so busy in the garden and working on putting new storage shelving in our garage that no cards have been done now for over a week.. I know its terrible isn't it !  There has been some browsing as you can see on my desk.  There are some new magazines with, don't ya love it, free stamps to use.  So can see some crafting in the next few days for me..  The card on my desk is one I made in a class not long ago, got to post to a friend for her birthday so reminding me by sitting there.
So here is my desk.....

The vegetable garden is in full swing now with more planting of corn, lettuce, zucchini and some more trellis for more snow peas, so we hopefully get some to get all the way inside.  I don't have any idea who eats them off the vines??? shhhh hehehe.
The beetroot rows I showed last week of just dirt has popped up today, so nice to see little rows of tiny plants.

I am also pleased to have a new follower Frances. So pleased you have joined as a follower and hope you enjoy popping in from time to time to have a peek what is going on.  I am a bit scarce at this time of year for making cards as spring is such a busy time in the vegetable garden for me..

So have a peek at Julia's stamping ground to see what other people are doing on there workdesk today...

Have a great day
Sandy :)

Challenges 4 Everybody #3

Hi everyone well that 2 weeks went so quick and what a wonderful lot of entries we had for the last Challenges 4 Everybody over 230...
We are so lucky to have a wonderful sponsor this week

 Digi Darla

So this week when you enter your anything goes entry,  Digi Darla is offering 5 images to the winner (winners choice of images) Isn't that just the best news.....
We all got to choose a design to work with..  I had such a lovely time browsing through all of the lovely designs.
I chose this wonderful Birds in a Tree   I found it straight away and kept coming back to it so know that it chose me.. I went for my favourite colors of razzleberry and Old Olive.  I never seem to get sick of these colors, they always seem to just look right. Still not sure about the ribbon.. I tried a few on here and none of them seemed to look just right.
So here is my card....

I am going to enter this in the following challenges
Southern girls challenge ...  Its Bling bling
Milk coffee challenge...........  Show 2 different Shapes
Inspire-me-fridays.................  Anything goes

Whats on your Workdesk? Wednesday

I am running so late with this one.  Its Wednesday evening here and I'm only just posting for WOYWW at  Julia's stamping ground
So what's on my desk?  Well I bought a new stamp its a chicken wire one from Kaisercraft.  Then I found these cute buttons, little cherubs and some cute little chickens in the mark down button basket at spotlight for $1 love a bargain.  Hmm the card I am working on is just getting moved around from place to place and getting stuff put on it. Think it might turn into an ATC.  Love the background its masking tape and then  embossed was fun to do and I do like the texture of it..
Not much has been happening on my desk as its spring here and for me that means outside in the vegetable garden.  Its nearly planting time and at the moment there is all the mess of soil preparation.   We had ripped up all our edges of our vegetable garden to raise it all for better drainage and in the middle of putting new ones in when hubby hurt his hand.  So its been on hold till now..  So now its just about ready to plant and am looking forward to that bit..
So here is my desk......

I would also like to welcome 2 new followers to my little blog of cards Susanne and Sandy.  Hope you enjoy popping in from time to time to have a peek at what's going on..
Have a great day

Trendy Trees

Such a great sketch again at Retro Sketches this one is from a card by Arielle. I flipped it so I could use my stampin'up trendy trees stamp set.  Its only a new set for me so it was just waiting there to get inky.  Had to use the stamp-a-ma-jig aren't they just such fun to use... (typed with sarcasm...) think I need a little more practice maybe more trendy tree cards..  Designer Paper used was Kaisercraft.

So here is my card...

Going to also enter this card at the Joyful stamper Inspire me Fridays anything goes...
Have a great day
Sandy :)

What's n your Workdesk? Wednesday 170

Hi all and welcome to another WOYWW....  Well as you can see I had a play with those Tim Holtz movers and shapers dies.  Gee they work really well and so easy..  Just used some scrap paper and used them all, they will probably find there way onto some cards in the near future.. The trendy trees is the stamp set I am wanting to use some time today, hopefully!!  So have been looking at some colors think I want something a bit bright so will have to have a play and get inky..  Do you remember a few weeks back that I had that postcard background on my desk?  Well I finished the card and popped it back here so you could see it..
So here is my desk....

I popped a bigger one here for you so you don't have to squint or search. Its my first use of Washi tape, the little birds at the side.  I cased me and did it similar to the French themed one I did about a month ago..

So if you are wondering why I am talking about my desk then just pop on over to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a peek..  You will see wonderful links to the most amazing desks from all around the world.. Warning though its highly addictive..
Have a great day

Post card with Washi tape

This week at the  Case Study Challenge You have to case yourself.  You have to choose a card that you want to revisit and case that.  So I thought what fun, I so liked making that French themed card with all the blending.  So thought perfect I will do another one this time with a balloon.  I added some washi tape, the line of little birds such fun stuff to use.  This is the first time I have used washi tape.  It wont be the last, I like the effect it gives and its so simple to use.  The Designer Series papers are from Kaisercraft.
So here is my card......

The card that I cased was my French themed one...

Have a great day

for you to browse.

Why don't you hop on over to  Challenges 4 Everybody and link up.  Every challenge is Anything goes.  As long as its a new post you can join in on all the fun, sorry there is no back linking...   Winners are drawn randomly so its all just for the fun of it all.  Its a great way to browse and see what other card makers are doing and keep an eye on all the latest trends.

Don't you just love butterflies...  I really don't think you can go wrong with a butterfly on a card and when I put it with one of my favourite colors Wisteria Wonder.  Well this card makes me smile, so that's why I went with the always happiness sentiment.  I used the wonderful sketch from  I spy sketches for this card.  The sketch was from a card by Karen Dunbrook its just so delightful, I can see me using this sketch for more cards.  Its a great one to show off all that fabulous paper that we collect.  This  Designer series paper is from Kaisercraft.

So here is my card.....
